l978 Homecoming Court: Darlene Fuller, Susan Hanchey, Vanessa Veillon, Lydia Johnson, Krispin Caldwellg Queen, Pam Crawford, Mary Williams, Michelle Thomas, Sandra Williams The court enjoys the football game. DeRidder experienced a homecoming victory over the Lake Charles Wildcats on October 27, 1978. The homecoming court, selected by the Senior football players, were presented in the pre-game show performed by the Ambassadors i n Blue. Their fathers escorted them onto the field. Krispin Caldwell was crowned Queen. The other members of the Homecoming court were Darlene Fuller, Susan Hanchey, Vanessa Veillon, Lydia Johnson, Pam Crawford, Mary Williams, Michelle Thomas, and Sandra Williams. The Key Club sponsored a dance at the Civic Center after the game. The music was provided by Horizons of Lafayette. The Queen is crowned and presented with her traditional bouquet of mums.
