The class of 1979 took their final walk as seniors of DeRidder High School in the graduation exercises held Thursday night May 24, 1979. Giving farewell speeches were Kerri Gifford and Ellyn Gagne, salutatorians, and Patty Hubbard, valedictorian. The class song, Do You Know Where You're Going To was played by Donna Lejune, Charlene McClendon, and Carla Bridges. Mr. Fulton presented the 222 graduating seniors with their diplomas and finally the moment came-They were pronounced 1979 graduates of DHS. Ellyn Gagne delivers a serious speech. The administration reflects upon the speeches. I 34X Graduation Kerri Gifford speaks to audience. The Welcome Address is presented Patricia Hubbard speaks to crowd.
