Any student who has completed or is enrolled in at least one business subject can be a member of the Future Business Leaders of America. The club's activities can be divided into the following three categories: service projects. educational projects, and fund-raising projects. Teddy Funk served as president for the 1974-75 school year, and as the state vice president from the Southwest district. FBLA members were on the go during the year at- tending conferences. workshops, and con- tests. Members traveled to Kentucky, New Orleans, Baton Rouge. and Leonville to participate in various activities. FBLA members also collected for muscu- lar dystrophy and birth detects, and do- nated clothing tor the Honduras hurricane victims. The DeRidder High School Library Club works to encourage students to explore the fascinating world of books. The most popular project undertaken by the club is the annual Book Fair. All funds are used to purchase materials for the libr- ary collection. The members of the club assist the library staff through volunteer duties during their free time, thus indirectly sewing the stu- dent body.
