Clmllvcleri Term - O5-5-Oawiplis DePauw's winter term experience gives students the chance to explore any interest from personal to professional. Many students chose to stay on campus, take a course from the university, and meet many of Their classmates. A diverse range of classes was offered from a gastronomical journey around the world to fractal geometry. Other students participated in university sponsored trips. Students this year had the opportunity to goto London, Moscow, Italy, tours throughout Europe, New York, and a ghost ranch in New Mexico. Still other students found their own trips or internships and met the extensive require- ments. Students in this category did things from Outward Bound to interning with a top Chicago accounting firm. This year, many changes have been pro- posed concerning winter term on and off campus. Some faculty and administration are attempting to eliminate winter term, claiming that it is not academic enough. Others want to reauire all freshmen to stay on campus for a core experience. Although some question the worth of winter term, any DePauw student can explain the wonderful learning experience of their month.
