What will the next years bring? W f X h, x H X V'urm Tradition wasn't dampened by the drizzly weather. The procession flowed with pomp. From throughout the academic realm. educators came to witness the inauguration of DePauw's President Richard F. Rosser. Over three hundred delegates from universities and educational associations paraded through the arch and across East College lawn in their brightly colored robes. As inauguration was held on Old Gold Day. many alums watched as Dr. Rosser was installed and welcomed. The ceremony ended with a benediction given by the Rev. Robert W. Thornburg. Since the inauguration, DePauw has entered an era of change. For the first time in years, the president's home was opened for faculty lectures. attended by both students and faculty. President Rosser has worked this year to modify the present drinking and visitation policies. Winter Term program is also being re-evaluated. Rosser feels that both the on-campus and off-campus acrivities need to be strengthened academically. DePauw's largest issue this year has bean the co-ed living proposal. The proposal was devised so as to provide the independent student with an additional living option, and thereby eliminate some of the pressure to go Greek. President Rosser has worked to implement these positive changes in order'to strengthen the DePauw community.
