'1! Hey, look at what I found 'iW hat is it? The yearbook from my senior year in col- lege. Good old DePauw, huh? Right. Must be ... let's see . . . about seventeen years since I graduated. Well, let's look through it. Whois that? The President of the University. It looks like his orientation speech. You mean for the fresh men? Yeah, the very first day you're there. Did you go to it? Yes, It was the last time I ever saw him. The President? After seventeen years it should be interesting. Right. I heard a lot about him but he hardly ever came out in- to the public. He was pro- bably busy running the school. . nWhat Building is this? East College. ; The oldest building on campus. That's where they kept the Language depart- ments. Hey, why's it got banners hung on it? Where? Oh, it must be Old Gold weekend in the picture. All the alums used to come for the football game. It's a beautiful old building.l hope they haven't torn it down since then. I hope so too. lremember that it was the scene of many a college rite. Like what? l'Oh, they used to say that with the first snow all freshmen fraterr'tity pledges had to run naked around the Boulder that was beside the pathyway in this picture. What about the girls? They didnit have to. But there was this big bell in the tower of this same build- ing that they used to ring late at night. Th en the Sigma Chis would chase them. impressive! Where's this? Inside East College. Meharry Hall. What I if the Sigma Chis caught them? They cut off some of their hair. i re- l member that in the Sigma Chi basement all this hair was hanging on the wall. What a beautiful old building. 1 do hope they haven't torn it down.

A marching band! That dates you. And the U-Shop. That building burnt down in the fall of my senior year. There was an all-night bakery there too. It was a shock to see it go. That's a shame. What's the big building in back? The Science Center. Brand new then. it looks a little out of place. Sort of. A cheerleader. I wonder if they still have them? Probably. Lots of crowd appeal. Guess so. That's the owl. Where is it? Right below East College. They must have taken this picture from inside the building. Does the owl mean anything. What? Like the Boulder. Oh, they used to say if a girl who was a virgin walked by it it would hoot. What about boy virgins? I don't know. Here's a football game for you. Did you ever go? Sometimes. For the big games. Would you be in this picture? I don't know. ' I don't see you anywhere, but I really don't knowwhat you looked like then. Oh, about the same. Balding? Haw haw.
