The International Relations Club this year - experienced great success in establishing an understanding of international political, economic and social issues. Originally founded to provide Clarification ,of con- temporary issues, the club invited promi- nent speakers such as the Israeli Consul from Chicago, the United Arab Republic delegate to the U.N., and the brother of President Antonin Novotny 0f Czechoslo- vakia. International Relations Students Against Racism This year the major contribution of Stu- dents Against Racism was White Awareness Week. SAR also conducted a survey on racism in fraternities and sororities pub- lished later in the year. SAR attempted to raise money for scholarships for black stu- dents, as well as to establish a Martin Luther King, Jr. money raising project for books in black studies. SAR is not just an organization on the DePauw campus, it also prides itself in being a movement. Student Interest Groups 25

Fca The Fellowship of Christian Athletes brings together young men with ideas of Christianity and athletics as binding forces, The group's two service projects were cutting down and distributing Christmas trees to twenty-five families, and taking extra food from FCA meetings to a needy Greencastle family. FCA's Fall Sports EBanquet featured speaker James Jeffrey, the National Director of FCA. Chemistry Cjub The Chemistry Club is .open for membership to any Chemistry major who wishes to gain additional insight into the area. It invites chemists from other universities to speak on many differentisubjects which are of inter- est to students preparing to enter the field of chemistry. The Chemistry Club is affiliated with the American Chemical Society, the professional organization of persons involved in chemical research and education.
