Blackstock llarkatnrk Mtih The Blackstock Athletic Field, on which work was started in the spring of 1921, will be ready for use by the Tiger football squad next fall according to present plans. The field will consist of a gridiron, a practice gridiron, a quarter mile track and a 220 yard straightaway, tennis courts and a baseball diamond. The field receives its name because of a twenty-five thousand dollar gift of Mi and Mrs. Ira B. Blackstock, of Springfield, 111., which gift is to be used in the promotion of the project. Mr. Blackstock is a graduate of DePauAv in the class of 1886 and has been a trustee of the University since 1907. During this time he has done much for the school and continues to do so. DePauw has long needed a well equipped athletic field, and when Black- stock Field is completed it will rank among the best in the country. A drfc «.
