The belching Vitals 0f the city are black against the horizon and the city is gone from the eye; now only the rolling country and the little home. This whole immense panorama is where the De Paul student lives. His personality, his character, his very existence as a student depends to some degree on thisehis environment. He lives fifty miles from school; he lives ten blocks from school. He is Catholic, Protestant, Jew, Moslem, Hindu; He has Negro, Scottish, Irish, Polish, German ancestors and is proud of them but he does not talk of them.
