ln December, 1907, a new charter authorized by De- Paul University as a legally organized Corporation - the first Catholic University in the State of Illinois. The Board of Trustees has under its control the general management of the corporation and is vested with the power to make laws not inconsistent with the laws of the State, the United States, or the terms of the Charter, for the government and control of the corporation, and of its several departments and of the proper manage- ment of the educational, fiscal, and other affairs of the corporation.
