DELAND-WELDON HIGH SCHOOL 1987-88 GOOD GREF! 1987-88 GOOD GRIEF! The year 1987-88 brought many changes. In the gym, three-point lines were painted on the floor, new back- boards were installed, and the north windows were replaced by a wall. There was a New addition to the faculty, Mr. Roberts, as well as a new basketball coach, Mr. Haikalis. Homecoming, held on December 19, was a great suc- cess. On January 16, over half the school participated in a lock-in at the school held by the new Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program. One of the school buses was in- volved in an unfortunate acci- dent on January 8. Although there were many students on the bus, none were seriously injured.
