Anyone that has had him for a class knows the rules to the game of Clue. Therefore, Mr. Blazier, for being such a great, fun-loving friendly teacher, the senior staff dedicates this yearbook to you. PERIBER Mr. Perlberg became our new principal this year. This was also his first year as principal, so this was an ex- perience for him as well as for the students. He also taught the American Prob- lems class to the Seniors. 6 FACULTY LIBRARY Students and faculty have continued to bene- fit from the efficient and thoughtful services provided by Mrs. Belcher, D. W. ' s unit librarian. nw IK HU Our Language classes were taught by Miss Read, Miss Borys and Mr. Eatock. Miss Read taught English I, II and IV, Miss Borys taught English III, and French I, II, and III. Mr. Eatock taught Col- lege Prep. English III and IV. He also was our Guidance Counselor. 10 FARMER CITY STATE BANK BUSINESS Our business classes were taught by Mrs. Blackburn and Mr. Heavilin. Mrs. Blackburn taught Typing I and II, and Shorthand I and II. Mr. Heavilin taught Bookkeeping, Recordkeeping, and Office Practice. FOSTER ' S BOWL AND LOUNGE II CCBNCB M GEORGE W. SMITH - Country Companies, Monticello 12 Mr. Edman taught IPS and Chemistry I. Mr. Hays assumed Mrs. Seal ' s respon- sibility for teaching Biology I and II the second semester. PWYCICAL EDUCATION Mrs. Trigg taught all high school girls P. E. , and Health to the underclassmen. She also taught P.E. to the sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Mr. Dobbs taught P.E. to a part of the boys, while Mr. Heller taught to the rest. Mr. Dobbs also taught swimming to both girls ' and boys ' P.E. classes, as well as Driver ' s Education to sophomores. GOTTILIEBS, INC. 13 WO UE EC. AND ART POLING HOLTZ CHEVROLET 15 INDUSTRIAL ARTS Students enrolled in Elem. Ag. and Ag. I through IV were instructed by Mr. Lawrence Gregory. Mr. I. Gene Williams taught Ind. Arts I through IV as well as junior high classes. 16 wstorv Mr. PERLBERG taught American Pro- blems to all of the Seniors, while Mr. SARLO taught the Juniors American History. World History, Sociology and Geography were also taught by Mr. Sarlo. 17 mu Mr. BLAZIER and Mr. SULLENDER are the math teachers at D-W this year. SHELL SERVICE COPLEY’S TRUE VALUE 69 TUJQ MA C UO UBNT The Junior-Senior Prom was held at the Ramada Inn in Champaign. A buffet dinner was followed by dancing with music provided by The Front Page. LETTERMEN’S 1972 This year ' s lettermen, with the assistance of a few other organizations, and with the club ' s advisors Mr. Hel- ler and Mr. Sarlo, set up a variety of stands to capture everyone ' s interest. They succeeded in doing this, in addition to enriching the club ' s treasury. 72 KINGSTON INSURANCE ANNUAL CARNIVAL WELDON FERTILIZER Besides having the fun of participating at the stands, everyone gathered around when the tickets were drawn for the door prizes. The winners of the large prizes were: Julie Floyd, Linda West, and Dave Teets. 74 SIYLESWOU AND INDUQTRiALARTS FAIR, On May 15, 1973, the Industrial Arts Classes gave a display of all the things they had made. Later Homemaking Classes I and II gave a style show. After this the FHA Chapter mothers served brownies, punch and sandwiches.
