Mrs. Heller Mrs. Rhonda Heller directed the chorus this year, which sponsored a sockhop and goody sales every Wednesday to raise money for a trip. They also had a Hal- loween party. Mrs. Belcher Mrs. Lucille Belcher worked at keeping our unit libraries neat and orderly. She is the advisor of the Library Club which sponsored dances, bought new books, and enjoyed pizza parties. This year, like all other years, Mrs. Belcher went to many area libraries to obtain books and maga- zines for students which were not available in our library. 27 DeLAND STATE BANK

Mr. Sampson I get a boom from playing the drums Mr. Roger Sampson was the band director this year. He formed a jazz band and held two concerts. The band marched at every home football game and at the University of Illinois. They also sold waste- baskets to cover expenses of a trip. Mr. Sampson helped each student build his musical abilities to the fullest. This showed when several band groups went to Contest and all received firsts. The band works hard!
