SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE There is greater wisdom in the pulse of your heart, in the ability to distinguish shapes or the color of a flower, than you could have ever learned by yourself. A million ancestors have made you what you are. While cars and trucks roared around the maternity ward where you were born, a fantastic assembly of forebears had converged upon that modern building. An astounding array of cavemen, primitive hunters, desert tribesmen, medieval knights, artisans, tradesmen, and pioneers had gathered around your cradle, each to deposit his gifts. And they will always be acting in you, never leaving you altogether to yourself, never quite unassisted, nor as alone as you may feel at times in your life. These are the gifts bequeathed to you at birth. You may do with them as you wish; polish them, add to them or ignore them. If each one adds ever so small an amount, mankind is better and will ultimately push humanity toward an ever greater destiny. Respectfully, Jack Salmon Superintendent

The experience of entering a new community, facing new situations, and adapting to necessary changes is one that should become an objective of each person realistically facing life today.
