SENIOR CLASS HISTORY At the beginning of our sophomore year we entered the big school of DeLand -Weldon Senior High which seemed new and very big to us all who were completely awed. June Franklin joined us then and a little later Margaret Radley joined our class. Our junior year was, of course, very important. We ordered class rings and planned the Junior-Senior Prom. Evert Keur joined us at the beginning of this year and we lost Earl Thomas at about the middle of the year. We also Thelma Yates and Joanne Schroeder this year. We chose a nautical theme for the prom. It w as lots of work as we made most of our decorations but I think we had as much fun getting ready for the prom as at the prom itself. During our last year we were amazed by our senior pictures as we were our sophomore year about the new school. We were also very busy selling ads, annuals and ordering announcements. We had classmates active in band, chorus, FHA, FFA, GAA, annual staff, librarians, paper staff and the play. We had our ups and downs through these three years but I ' m sure we all recall the better parts of the years.
