Our country has the most efficient and complete system of free education of any nation in the world. This is a privilege to be appreciated by the American people, especially our youth, but at the same time it places us under a great responsibility. We are challenged to keep our educational system free to all and to maintain high standards of Democratic principles in all school activities. It is our sincere desire that all the youth of the DeLand-Weldon Unit Schools will make the most of their opportunities in school, thereby preparing themselves to serve successfully their communities, the State and the Nation.
