Z gf Deutsch uber alles! was certainly the battle cry of the club this year, with a big Oktoberfest and, ofcourse, the best club float in Homecoming '78! This is a special year for the victorious Kriegers who gather in A-210, for we welcome as our new Fuhr, Mrs. Mullen, who has replaced Mrs. Leisher as German teacher. Even with the change in leadership, der German- ische Verein continues to dominate other language clubs. Our raids on French and Spanish Clubs are quite well-known, and are something to behold. In addition to the Oktoberfestand Homecoming, our Verein will participate once again in the language festival at Spruce Creek, and at the International Banquet here at D.H.S. We will also hold our annual inductions ceremony for the German Honorary Society-Delta Epsilon Phi, in the spring. Perhaps a rather small group, we boast the finest club jerseys, the best volleyball team in the language dept., and the wildest drivers. WE'RE WERDEN ALLE SlEGEN! Si Ii If

The term FASHION PLATES is an old established term used about women who had style. lt was quite a compliment to be called a Fashion Plate. So it is fitting that the newest club on campus be named the Fashion Plates. This is a team of models selected from the modeling classes. To be chosen as a Fashion Plate, the stu- dents had to meet club require- ments, be recommended by teach ers and be chosen by a panel of judges. The Fashion Plates will be performing for school programs, local organizations and merchants. lt is a sheer compliment to be a part of the long time group of stylish women. 107
