THERE'S NO PEGPLE LIKE SHGW PEOPLE THE DHS MODERNAIRES is a working family of sixteen singers and four accompa- nists performing under the direction of Mr. David Mar- tin. Membership in the Mo- dernaires presents a year of fun, new friends, travel, end- less smiling, stepping on your partners' toes and countless hours of hard work. Each member of the Modernaires is devoted to creating the finest perform- ing group possible, because standing ovations, invitations to sing across the county and superior ratings at State Contest come only with the dedication and determina- tion the Modernaires dis- play. WITH A SONG IN GUR HEARTS Daily in the chorus room, forty-five harmo- nious voices under the direction and expert su- pervision of Mr. David Martin, blend to en- hance the listening plea- sure of DHS attenders. ADVANCED MIXED CHORUS participates in a district choral compe- tition under their official name, the DeLand High Singers. Two of their artistic contributions are their concerts, held to celebrate Christmas and to herald the spring.
