All rehearsals are held after school hours. The members receive no academic credit and all finances are raised through student projects. The 1973 Concert Choir received more awards than any other High School Choral group in Northwest Missouri. Among the awards received were: First place in the National Public Radio choral competition and most outstanding Swing Choir at Northwest Missouri State University competition. The choir made their second annual tour to the Kan- sas State School for the Blind and Plattsburg High School. The choir also performed on local television, at a state convention, and at several school and community functions. The Concert Choir has tried to carry on the pride and traditions of D.H.S. and will in the future endeavor to remain The Pride of DeKalb. W
