In ‘72, the tragic Summer Olympics were held in Munich, Germany, the U.S. re-elected President Nixon, and American Bobby Fisher defeated Russian Boris Spassky in the world’s chess championship. In 1973, we witnessed the death of two former United States Presidents, the end of the Vietnamese War, the return of American P.O.W.’s, and the Watergate scandal.
