Some five years ago our school was in a chaoiic condiiion and was declared noi' siandard by +he Siaie Deparimenf of Educalion. Mr. l-lull came info our midsf in 1948 and since 'rhen condiiions have improved by leaps and bounds. Firsf and probably fhe mos+ im orfanl' accomplish- menf was fhe esiablishmenr of discipline. Mr. Hufipgave us pleniy of freedom and ye+ lcepf ihe siudenfs in line. we admire him for 'rhis ualify. While serving as baslcefball coach he led us 'ro 'rhree successivecleague championships a fear never before accomplished. Mr. Huff played a dominanl' ar+ in ge+'ring our new gym and grade school, in facl' when we ran ou? of money he formed a sho class and under his guidance fhey complefed a large share of ihe umgnished worlc remaining in 'rhe gym. For lwo years Mr. Huff worlxed al' 'rhe school during 'rhe summers free in order fo creaie be'Her faciliiies for fhe siudenis. All 'lhese ihings have nor been in vain for now boih The grade and high school are siandard schools and we are proud of 'rhem and also of Mr. Huff 1'he man who made lhem possible.
