Alger gradualion Mr. Huff coached al Prineville for +hree years and +hen came fo Dayville where he has guided +he deslinies of Dayville sludenls for four years. DAVE HAWK-Coach, Science and Malh lnslruclor. Mr. Hawk had his grade school and mosl' of his high school educalion in Idaho, buf graduafed from Longview High School in Washingfon. Afler a shorl +ime in lhe service Mr. Hawk enrolled a+ The College of Idaho, where he was falenled performer in bolh baseball and baskeiball. Upon gradu- alion Mr. Hawk signed a conlracl +o 'leach in +he Dayville School Syslem. We are glad he casl his forlune wilh our insfilulion. LEWELL GILHAM-English and Commercial Insfruclor. Mr. Gilham came +o us from Porfland Universily. He aHended Porfland Grammar School and graduafed from Washinglon High School in 'rhal ci+y. Mr. Gilham served in World War ll and afler his discharge he enlered denial school in Porfland and laler 'rransferred fo Porfland Universily where he sfudied fo become a leacher. Dayville was Mr. Gilham's 'Firs+ leaching posi+ion. JOEY ACAITURRI-7+h and 8+h Grade Coach and Teacher. Mr. Acailurri a++ended Elemenfary and Secondary School in Burley, Idaho. Afler a few years in +he service Mr. Acailurri en+ered Boise Junior College and larer Sou+hern Idaho College of Educalion. In bo+h high school and college Mr. Acailurri made a name for himself on lhe Maple Courl' as he was an All S+al'er plus being caplain of his 'ream while in college. This is Mr. Acai+urri's 2nd year in leaching bolh of which have been al Dayville. HELEN MILLER-5+h and 6+h Grade Teacher and Grade School Volle ball Coach. Mrs. Miller came fo us from Canada. She was edu- calecl in Scofland, Canada. and 'lhe Uniled S+al'es, so she has a broad background from which +o draw educafional experiences. Mrs. Miller has been a member of lhe Dayville Facully for 5 years and we hope she will remain for many more. RETHA AVALADE-2rd and 4+h Grade Teacher. Mrs. Valade has been a member of +he faculfy for I9 years and during lhis period she has developed a hosf of friends and admirers among her many 'Former slu- denfs. Mrs. Valade alrlended grade school in McMinviIle and high school in Salem. She did her college work a+ Oregon College of Educalion. We wish Mrs. Valade conlinued success and hope she will leach many more years in Dayville. MARJORIE ROUND-Isl and 2nd Grade Teacher. Mrs. Round came +o us al' midyear affer fhe resignalion of Mrs. Rena Slriclken, who came ou+ from Texas. Mrs. Round gol' her elemenlary and secondary schooling in La Grande and Imbler and aHended Easlern Oregon College for her higher educalion. The pasi l'wo years Mrs. Round 'laughl in Long Creek, previous +o lhis she +augh+ a+ Monument Everyone hopes Mrs. Round will conlinue lo leach in our school.
