Well here we are Freshmen on our last lap in Junior High. These junior high years have seen many changes--some have grown tall others gainedweights some taken on genuine grown-up appearances. But we as Freshmen haven't only grown as ,individuals but also as a class, for, you see, thirty-eight pupils hailing from Calhoun Oliver, Smicksburg, and Templeton'-I Schools have joined our class this year. That makes us eighty strong. Last year Linda Beck and Wendell Alcorn were awarded the Legion Citizenship Honors. This year's activities in- cluded Darticipatlon in the various school clubs and basketball. Refreshments and a gift exchange were features of our William Decock and Mrs. Norma Ault were our advisors. EIGHTH GRADE . . . Fo ty six times the bell would toll were it to toll one time for each member in the eighth grade. We eighth graders had Mrs Charlotte Jewart and Mrs. Glandys Marshall as home room teachers. Our class wrote essays for the American Legion and it was eligible for the American Legion Awards that are given to the most outstanding boy and girl in the eighth grade Intramural basketball has been a part of our extra activities this year. SEVENTH GRADE . . . Gee Times Dassin-g fast. Why it seems only yesterday that school bells rang for the first time for we seventh graders We have really grown up: now, we have class officers: Dorcea Blose, president: Richard Powell, vice president: Shirley Evhaier secretary: Nell Lyldick, treasurer, and Judy Shirey, historian. One of our group Kay McGrainor, left us and went to Kittanning: Allan Reddlnger joined our ranks from Summerville. Mrs. Charlotte Jewart and Mr. James Carrick were our home room teachers. 34
