JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY When the gavel fell at the first class meeting of the Junior Class it rang a note of attention to iifty-three members. With the passing days came changes and activities. Eleanor Maurer dropped from our group, leaving fifty-two. November found us a gala Halloween Ball: then came days and weeks of work and plans that brought much enjoyment to the class as well as the school when our class play, Finders Creepers. was presented. A sad hush befell our group ofn February 24 when one of our group, DuWayne Troup, was killed in an automobile accident. Lilac Time, the spring formal, crowned the year's activities for our class. Evelyn Shirey, the maid of honor. and Irene Barrett were our class attendants in the May Court. Some of the basketball stars were from our class too, Delbert Baker, Jr., and Guy Bennett were our class advisors. SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY Our llrst year in senior high found eighty-nine members in our class. Four more joined our number during the year. They were Alfred Rummel, Barbara Turner, Eugene Degenkalb, and Marie Slagle, but two of these, Alfred and Barbara, did not remain with us long. Howard Walter also left us during this year. During the year we Sophomores had a round-and-square dance which was both enjoyable and profitable. With senior high comes May Court participation: Elaine West and Shirley Kirkpatrick carried the ball for our class this year. Robert Evans, Ray Reitz and Marguerite Marietti served the class in the advisory capacity. IN MEMORIAM nuwAYNE TROUP Class of 1955 30
