The annual senior play The Cannibal Queen was presented January 29, 1954, under the direction of Mrs. Leek. The three-act comedy took place in the Craig House. Bruce Clyde, news- paper editor, is going to be fired by Julia Boyd, owner, unless he can increase the circulation of their newspaper. Professor Cornelius Kent, wealthy explorer, comes along with the news that his nephew, Allen Kent, is coming home with a Cannibal Queen from the Solomon Islands. Bruce takes advantage of this news but runs into trouble when he discovers that Allen has been lying, When Allen comes back without the Queen, Bruce persuades Brenda Day, an aspiring actress, to prove that she can act by becoming the Queen. Everything is all right until Ju-Ju, the real Queen, shows up. Controlling Ju-Ju requires fast action by the cast and turns the situation into a nearvriot. HOLD STILL, ANN! CANNIBAL, FIRST CLASS! CURTAIN CALL! 17
