SENIOR OFFICERS Mr. Murray, Advisorg Ann Clever, Treasurer, Jean Wilson, Vice Presi- dentg Harold Geist, Presidentg Aldean McGarrity, Secretaryg Evelyn Rum- baugh, Historian, Mrs. Leek, Advisor. CLASS HISTORY We, the class of '54, entered High School September 5, 1950, as a group of 69 eager ninth graders. During the year we lost Deuane Stear and added Geraldine Blackwell. Naomi Atkinson came and left that year. Our Sophomore year was started with 66 in the class. During the year Mason Fox, Elsie Fox, Jo Ann Sharp and Velma Beck left our ranks. We added Marilyn Gibson and Robert Kellerman to our group. In order to make money, we sponsored an informal dance and skate. We had 61 in our class to begin the Junior year. We welcomed Aldean McGarrity and said farewell to Bill Weaver, Merle Powers, and Alberta Miller. To raise our funds, the class sponsored the Halloween Dance and the Spring Prom, as well as the Junior Play, Professor, How Could You! Members of our class also sold Christmas cards and gifts for children. We were represented in the May Court by Maxine Stockdale, Maid-of-Honor, and Jean Wilson. As a group of 57, we returned as Seniors to begin our last school year. During this year Claribell Crissman left the campus to go to Shannock Valley, and Jerry Wadding, to work in Ohio. We added Helen Kespelher and Luther McConnell to our rolls. As Seniors, we sponsored several activities, skates, dances, a square dance, and the sell- ing of hot dogs at the home games. We also sponsored the Winter Prom, Winter Wonderland. Our class was represented in the crowning of the May Queen by three members, Maxine Stock- dale as Queen, and Jean Wilson and Evelyn Rumbaugh as attendants. The most outstanding event of the year was the Senior Play, Cannibal Queen. Our group is now looking forward to graduation and a successful future. I6
