Hanor Students Boys And Girls State get I BOYS' STATE Representing our school at the 1957-1958 Evergreen Boys' State were Carl Peterson and Gordon Budke. Boys' State strives to teach the duties, privileges, rights, and responsibilities of an American citizen. This year's Boys' State was held in Parkland, Washington, and Carl and Gordon both learned much from their experiences. GIRLS' STATE Karen Holmes and Sue Miller at- tended the 1957-1958 Evergreen Girls' State in Ellensburg, Wash- ington. Girls' State tries to teach Americanism and good citi- zenship. Both Karen and Sue learned much, and feel they will be better able to meet the re- sponsibilities and duties of Ameri can citizenship. Stag Line was a complete success The seniors also sold coffee and donuts at the football games During basketball season they sold popcorn, soft drinks, candy, and hot dogs. The class of 1959 was well rep- resented in school activities and sports. They had several boys participating in football, basketball, baseball, and track. On May 25, 1959, they graduated from Pietrzycki High School, lea ing behind the memory of a great class!
