emkvz 7641! On june 1, we graduated with the traditional strains of Pomp and Circumstanceu in the background. While we now are faced with a more solemn life in the fields of our choice, let us look back on the memories of Dayton High School. Under the guidance of Miss York, our freshman year got off to a good start with the Freshman-Sophomore party. Our class was well represented in music and sports, and had a creditable scholastic standing. As Sophomores we were under the direction of Mr. Evers. The honor roll showed that we had a very high scholastic standing. A large number of our class were active in band and choir. Both boys and girls turned out for the various sports. The major project of the year was the selling of crimson and gold caps. In the spring we ordered our class rings so they would be here in the fall. At last we were juniors and with Mr. Redfern as advisor had a very active year. In the fall we gave a dance and sponsored a magician show to raise money. Highlights of the year were the junior Prom and the class play. The Prom theme was Deep Purple with the gym decorated in purple and silver. Our class play, Home Sweet Homicide, a mystery comedy, was well received by a capacity audience, March 31. The cast was ably directed by Mrs. Greenman. Many of our boys turned out for sports. Seniors? Again under the direction of Mr. Redfern we had an exciting year. And Came the Spring, our class play, under the direction of Mrs. Greenman, was well received by the public. Our class was the first to have an orchestra play for a stocking dance. This year, too, we were active in music and sports as well as having a good percent- age of our rank on the honor roll. As Spring came, thoughts of all Seniors turned lightly to a sneak and graduation. Our sneak, an overnight trip to Bingham Springs, was greatly enjoyed by the class. Thirty-eight Seniors graduated that Spring evening in june. Remember!
