Oh, whaT a hecTic Time we had geTTing sched- ules correcTed, Tinding classrooms, and Trying To learn Teachers' names. The juniors and seniors also had some Teachers' names To learn as Miss Mary Alice Schneble was The new girl's physi- cal educaTion and biology Teacher: Mr. Carl E. Forbriger was The new music in- sTrucTor: and Mr. HerberT H. Cummings Took over as boy's physicial educaTi2n insTrucTor, Track coach, and assisTanT coach in baske+baII. The TirsT acTiviTy in which we could parTicipaTe was The G.A.A. dance, HarvesT Moon. IT was held here aT school on November 8. Our cross-counTry Team placed sevenTh in The STaTe MeeT aT MansTield aTTer winning The DisTricT MeeT. ThaT was very good considering The Tough com- peTiTion we encounTered. On November I8 and I9, The Music DeparTmenT successTully presenTed The opereTTa Shreds and PaTches. The casT Tor This opereTTa included TiTTy people. A happy new experience was The ChrisTmas assembly. This kind oT gaTher- ing was diTTerenT Trom Those we had previously aTTended, and all oT us greaT- ly enjoyed iT. February 8 broughT The Dunce Cap Dip sponsored by The Honor SocieTy. Dancing ThaT evening was To The music oT Larry ThornTon's orchesTra. Co-op was greaTly honored by re- ceiving a ciTaTion Trom Henry Morgen- Thau, Jr. Tor exceeding iTs goal and pur- chasing Tive ieeps in The FourTh War Bond Drive. They noT only won The DisTricTTournamenT,buT wenT on To win The N. A. B. F. naTional championship aT PiTTsburgh. On April 2l and 28, The annual Junior-Senior plays were presenTed by The DramaTic ArT DeparTmenT. They were Seven To One, The Thomp- sons, and Elmer and The Lovebug. During The laTTer parT OT March, Mr. Forbriger sTarTed a ping pong champion- ship Tourney. The winner was a member oT our class, Dick Coy Trom SecTion II. All oT us were shocked aT The sudden deaTh oT PresidenT Roosevelt We aTTen- ded The Memorial assembly on Friday, April I3, in honor oT his greaT conTri- buTions To his counTry. Prayer, Bible read- ing, and music appropriaTe To The oc- casion were given. The dance our Junior class sponsored in April came on a very sTrange daTe, buT This daTe was The cenTer oT aTTrac- Tion. We called our dance The Bad Luck Bounce a very appropriaTe name, Tor This acTiviTy was held on Friday The ThirTei5nTh. Included were a Tloor show, door prizes, dancing, and reTreshmenTs. I-Iurrahl Yea! Finally our class rings and pins have come. We ordered Them back in The middle OT November, and here They are. This greaT daTe is April I9.
