CUNOUERURS' CLASS HISTORY During the summer months many of us were actively engaged in the Lord's work. A note of sorrow crossed our class as Sister Donna Renfrow, a member of our Fresh- man class, was called home to Glory. Later during the summer we were surprised to receive word from the school of a mid-summer rally for students and friends. The blessing and fellowship was well worth the effort made by all to attend. The year 1952 speeded upon us and we once more found ourselves entering the portals of DBI. The last year of our preparation for the work of the Lord. The re- sponsibility of achieving all we could during the last year impressed us to stoudy and work for proper training greater than in all our three years of schooling. To our sorrow we found two of our class members failing to return. However, two newcomers, Sister Dorothy Cummings and Brother,Haskel Jenkins, were aded to our class roll. The class officers for thc graduating class are: Hobart Wick, President, William Lentsch, Vice Presidentg and Annonda Savage, Secretary and Treasurer. The apex memory of our first semester is found during our Homiletic classes. Most of us as potential ministers found the dean taking us apart as preachers a piece at a time. lt has been prophesied and even proclaimed that we will be put together in time for graduation and for future servants of the Lord. I As Conquerors for Christ the class of '53 will assume its responsibility to claim the world for Christ. Our past year of school has challenged us as we have never been challenged before. All signs point to an immediate return of Jesus. We shall conquer as we pray and as you pray for us.

CUNUUERO S' CLASS HISTORY 5:1 Hand 9, l0 dard Class of '53 In the month Of Seplembef, 1950 approximately twenty-two full time students en- rolled as Freshmen in Dayton Bible Institute. These students were on fire for God and hungry to study the Word. One of the first things we learned as new students was how little we know about God's Word. At the beginning of the following term, the enrollment had dropped to nineteen students including William Lentsch and David Perkins, Jr. as new comers. The high- light of this semester and in fact the wohel year was the student revival which proved a blessing to all. This revival fed our souls and the Spirit of fellowship was in evidence greater than ever before. The school picnic at Sinclair Park resulted in a time of real Christian fellowship and without a doubt some sore muscles from a stren- uous game of volley ball. We were privileged to- be in the group ofunderclassmen at the first graduation of Dayton Bible Institute. With a time of joy but a time of sorrow realizing that next year they would not be in our midst. . September, l95l . . .. Again we entered DBI for our second year of training for the Lord. When the excitement and rush of graduation and greeting old friends passed away we counted nine of our friends and one new comer, Walter Bostick. The year 'Sl had happy moments and certainly times of concern. The highlight of the Spring term was a never-to-be-forgotten prayer meeting with the power of God coming in our midst in a special way. The Glory of the Lord so stirred our souls that it was a time of challenge and pleasant memories. About this time we were informed by the Dean and his wife that they were going to treat us to a chili supper . . . We are still looking forward to the chili supper. The picnic at Sinclair Park this year was as usual a physical and spiritual blessing. Emphasis was added to the picnic as many of the alumni were present which gave it a reunion atmosphere. l I

CUNUUERORS' CLASS POE1Vl Class of '53 RETROSPECTlON S ' It all began three years ago, How time has slipped away, Hard pressed at times, we've loved each year, Each text, and every day, Revivals in our treshman year, To fill our hearts with glee- For souls' who came to Him who died, That we might all be free. We've racked our brain at each exam. We thought our teachers stern, For their insistence we should grasp, What they thought we should learn. The dean, we thought, was mad at us, We didn't know just why, But now we know he is our friend, An all around good guy. We've had our pleasures, sorrows too, A loved one crossed the bay, But only for a little while We'll meet her some glad day. Now it's time that we should part. Going on to the conquest for him, ln our trials and testings here, We have used the shield of faith to win. We have donnecl the helmet of Salvation, And with the Sword of the Spirit aflame. We are launching out to conquer, In Christ's holy and matchless name. For it truly is a battle, To lead others to Eternal life, So we are chosen in our calling As conquerors in Christ.
