HARVESTERS' CLASS HISTORY Lord in the library. She has also worked for the Dean as secretary during her last year of school. Pierce Reed has served as bookroom manager. Pierce ordered supplies and books for the students as they needed them. We as the Senior Class are very proud of these students that have taken care of their work so faithfully. Many high lights. Other highlights during our school activity was the appearance and encourage- ment given to us to believe God for our needs from our Dean's wife Sister G. Ruth Welshons. lt was during a class period that she related to us how the Lord had healed her youngest son, Kevin after drinking kerosene. Although the life had left the child's body, God intervened and he was completely healed. Many times we don't quite understand why this or that should happen, but God has a purpose in every- thing He does as we see when He performed this miracle. A heart-breaking moment came to us and to Brother and Sister DeJaynes when the Lord found it fit to take their little loved one from their home. Their first child was born to them in a sickly condition with an affliction that only God knows all about. After keeping her in their home for almost a year the Lord saw fit to call her home. Still they looked to Him and praised Him for they knew the Lord had a purpose in His mighty works. lt was only a week later that the Lord filled the empty place in their hearts with another little girl who was perfect in health and a very beautiful child. On Christmas day while lying on a hospital bed Sister DeJaynes opened her Bible 'and God gave her the beautiful scripture found in Psalms 30:5 For His anger endureth but a moment, in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. As a result of this scripture they named their girl Linda Joy, the joy being for all that God meant to them and for all of His wonderful gifts. Brother and Sister DeJaynes found that no matter how great the tests and trials may be God will bring us out victoriously if we will only lift up the standards of His precious Word and do as He commands us. For theref may be tears in the night but there will always be joy in the morning. We have now come to the end of our history. Our three years may have at times seemed like we could not pull through but God was bidding us to come and cast our care upon Him. ln leaving we the graduating class of l95l wish to say good-bye to our faculty members, intimate friends and fellow students. lt has been wonderful having fellowship with you these three years and we will be praying for you as we labor in the various fields for the Lord.
