ul' CH SPRI G I956 Days Creek was host toCanyor1ville at the joint schools Junior-Sen- ior Prom last Spring. The gymnasium was decorated to carry out the theme of Showboat. Below is a scene from the Prom, with Don Lee and Bernice Biss in the foreground. The banquets were held at the respective schools a week ahead of the Prom. Entertainment at the banquet was provided by Charles Scott, Mike Nimsic and Charles Burns. The four serving girls were Sandra Fairfield, Luetta Saulsberry, Bernice Biss and Pat Nard. Picture at left. WEHADFLI --- Members of the Days Creek student body became citi- zens of Dogpatch for an evening, Nov. 9. A group picture is shown below. The boy and girl who got married the most often were Claude Weakley and Phyllis Jewett, pictured top left. Winners in the most outrageous costume contest were Frances Perry and Sandra Fairfield.

ATIQ AL HO OR SOCIETY The National Honor Society of Secondary Schools charter was first pre- sented to Days Creek high school in March, 1955. Students must obtain a grade point average of 3. 5, and, also, be outstanding in leadership, character and service, to become a probationary member of the Days Creek chapter. They must maintain these high standards throughout their high school career in order to become permanent members of the National Honor Society at graduation. 1956 novitiates, who were tapped at the Fall Award Banquet, were Jarard Richardson, standing, Florette McGee, Frances Stone, Sandra Fairfield, and, seated, Grady Gaulke and Pearl Kapascinski. .J-N 42 . ef? .
