DAWSON 0 FROST 13 The Bulldogs had some tough luck 1n th1s game It just seemed that all the breaks were avamst the Bull dogs The Bulldogs played a good game butthe Polar Bears st1ll outscored them K1ller P1tts played a good offens1ve Dame alonv w1th Clyde Almond DAWSON 25 ITALY Z Th1s was one ofthe Bulldovsbestball games Once more the Bulldogs took a fast lead and held It From the f1rst quarter on Dawson just ran loose Steve Poolwash1gh man for the Bulldovs w1th 150 yards rush 1ng The f1r st quarter was really exc1t1nU wlth Pltts maklng one 75 yard run and Pool followlnv up w1th a 95 yard scamper DAWSON O KERENS 7 Th1s was sure a fme ball game The Bulldogs played hard all the way but they just couldn t out score th1s Class A ball team The Dawson backf1eld looked very good But Kerens st1ll won by 7 pO1HtS DAWSON 12 BLOOMING GROVE 7 Th1s 1S one F r1d ay n1ght that the Bulldogs got off to a fast start The boys really played a good ball game They took the lead early 1n the f1r st quarter and held It to the f1nal gun Bloom1ng Grove never scored unt1l late 1n the fourth quarter DAWSON O MALAKOFF 7 The Bulldogs won all the way except 1n the scormg department As for yards rushmv the Bulldogs made 164 ya rd s to Malakoff s 126 Dawson completed 6 out of 13 passes where Malakoff completed 1 out of 6 Donal Thompson and Harold Tanner played themselves a good ball game but all the boys d1d for that matter Malakoff made 7 pomts IH the th1rd quarter that the Bulldogs could not make back DAWSON 7 MILDRED 6 Th1s 1SOl'1et11'1'16t11at old man Luck was on our s1de It seemed that every t1me Mxldred made a long run It would get called back W1th all the1r luck the Bulldogs st1ll had then' hands full Dawson took the lead m sk1pped a couple of beats when M1ldred mlssed the Polnt and that was the ball game DAWSON 19 BYNUM 6 The Bulldogs Got mn there and fought all the way th1s t1me and came out on top Steve Pool was outstand 1ng on offenswe pla y On defense Donal Thompson was Just as rugged as ever The Bulldogs gamed 236 yards rushmg agamst 159 yards for Bynum The Bulldogs played a slow f1rst half but 1n the last half they began to P1Ck up and scored 6 pomts 1n the thlrd quarter and 13 polnts 1n the last quarter DAWSON 13 ABBOT 7 The Bulldogs got off to a fa s t start th 1 s t1me It looked l1ke they were sure gomv to g1ve Abbot a good go1ngover After the flrst quarter th1s all changed and Dawson never scored agaln untll ln the thlrd quarter Thls ma d e D H S 13 and that IS what the score was at the end Abbot made 7 pomts 1n the th1rd quarter DAWSON 6 WHITNEY 39 The Bulldogs played good ball but they were Just outclassed The Wh1tney boys were heavler than the Bulldogs W1th the odds aga1nst them the Bulldogs stmll played a good ball game Clyde Almond and J1mmy Pr1ddy played themselves a good ball game DAWSON O HUBBARD Z0 Th1s was sure a heart breaker Hubbard has beaten the Bulldogs for two years 1n a row The Bulldogs w e re hlndered w1th 1nJur1es th1s year One good thlng the Dawson boys never had a penalty agalnst them Hubbard had 6 penaltles total1n0 50 yards The Bulldogs d1d notcome near w1nn1ng the Champ1onsh1p But they are really Champ1ons You have to be a champlon to w1n the Sportsmanshlp Award the way these boys d1d th1s year ' .
