Bill and Dick, as they were affectionately called by their classmates and friends, would have been members of the Senior and Sophomore classes. It is with a feeling of sadness--be- cause we miss them- -yet of deep friendship, that we leave this book to their memory. W 4 OUR DMINISTRATORS WINSTON W. WETZEL, Principal B.A.. Westman College, Le Mars, Iowa M.S.. Iowa State University, Iowa City, Iowa Mr. Wetzel dictates to his secretary, Myrtle Doebler, who is also clerk of the school board. Mr. Wetzel, in addition to his busy school life, also finds time to be an active participant in community affairs. ALVIN THORSON, Ass't. Principal B.A,, Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn. M.A., University of Wyoming, Laramie. Wyoming Mr. Thorson has the tedious job of finding out why Mary stayed home on Monday last week and why Bill forgot to check out with the office 4th period. Con- ferences with students, keeping records, teachers' meetings, etc., keep his day full. 1 r 7 - X 551 .,., ' I T 'A I 5 If fx G 1 ,rw -lf' all 3 : MM, rec- 4' f 1 I I- Sw ffff ps 1 Q ' A it ...L , 1' A 5 WS a . i f sfya ' - kv I ..... SUMMARY OF THE 1951 SEASON The Red Devils opened their season by traveling to Dickinson N.D., and scoring an impressive 40-6 win over the fighting but outclassed Midgets. For their first conference tilt the Wilson eleven journeyed to Glasgow where they edged the powerful Scotties 20-12. In their first home game Dawson's Devils trounced Miles City 37-13. The next week the boys from Dawson suffered their only setback of the season, a 7-0 loss to their arch rivals from Sidney. The Devils then routed the Mandan Braves in a non- conference fray 24-13. To celebrate their homecoming classic the Red Devils rolled over Lewistown 24-13. In the season's finale the charges of Coach Wilson played their best ball game of the year and brought home a 31-20 victory over the Laurel Locomotives and second place in the Eastern Division.
