The Tu Club is an hO1'101'Ct1'Y SOCi9fY for boys who have Won major awards in athletics. The purpose of this club is to promote athletics in the school. It encourages a high scholastic standing among athletes and the highest type of sportsmanship in athletic contests. During the past year the Varsi-T Club has promoted many Worthwhile activities and is very much indebted to Mr. Emery and Mr. Byrum, the advisers, for the fine cooperation they have given. A very popular event in the program of the club is the initia- tion. During the Week of this activity the lowly scums have to humble themselves. Big, husky tackles are seen dressed as girls, carrying dolls, and singing lullabies. The many stunts required reveal much new talent to the tune of the paddle. The club functions on a very democratic basis, every mem- ber being privileged to make suggestions which he thinks will benefit the whole group. Rules are enforced by an enforcer, the paddle. The group raises money for various school activities by selling paddle pops at basketball games FIRST ROW I Syrek, H. Hoebeke, H. Zwartenkot, E. Dubiel, H. Knott, O. Worpel, R.
