The class sTarTed ouT wiTh a bang by elecTing as Their leaders a hard-working group of sTudenT officers, and collecTing dues oT TiTTy cenTs To build up Their Treasury. The iuniors' TirsT acTiviTy was The Thanksgiving Day Assembly. The very inTeresTing and unusual speech given by Reverend Nelson of FounTain STreeT BapTisT Church, on WhaT We Should Be ThankTul For, Touched The hearTs of everyone who aTTended. The music deparTmenT conTribuTed To The assembly, wiTh The choir singing Thanks Be To God, and The band playing Helen of Troy. Ray Wasilewski gave a Tine presenTaTion of The PresidenT's ProclamaTion. The audience' singing of The Thanksgiving Prayer broughT This grand assembly To a close. On April IO, The iuniors combined Their eTforTs wiTh The sophomore class, and gave one of The besT parTies The school has ever had. CommiTTees of boTh classes worked wiTh undaunTed eFTorTs To make This parTy The success ThaT iT was. AT This parTy There was a choice of eiTher dancing or roller skaTing, whichever was desired by Those who aTTended. Everyone had a grand Time. To Top iT off, reTreshmenTs were served laTer in The evening. The acTiviTy ThaT reached The highesT peak of The year, really showing whaT The junior class could do, was The Junior-Senior Prom on May 28. This very elaboraTe aTTair necessiTaTed an aImosT unsurmounTable amounT of Time and work. BuT Their eFTorTs were many Times repaid wiTh The grand resulTs. The Prom's being semi-Tormal was anoTher greaT asseT To The success of The parTy. The enTerTainmenT consisTed of The besT TalenT in The school. Thus ends anoTher year. WiTh one more year To go, The class of T943 hopes To have Top honors.
