efzeb 74 7444 Sedan! Tune: f The Army Air Corps j Here's to you, our faithful Alma Mater Shining through always the best, We'll remain loyal and true forever. We salute D, T, H, S. I She will always have pride and honor Triumphant! To the end! She'll live in fame and will keep the name of Davis-Townsend High School always. Here's a toast to the host of those who gave our school her honored name. To those we send a message of its glory and its fame. We drink to those who gave their best to make This school of schools the best in all the U. S.A, We'll keep in our hearts the memories Always of our school days. Willie Mae Briggs 0609 We're leaving D. T, with a heart of sorrow Hoping we're ready to face the toils of tomorrow. To our parents, classmates, and teachers Who have patiently guided us thru! We leave our thanks and appreciation to each and all of you. Now our school days are at an end: Graduation is here at last. As we leave the school we leave each friend, Because our school days together have now passed. Our school days are just memories dear To remember each coming and passing year. As we go higher up the ladder of fame We will see good ole 'D. T, in our dreams again. We now leave, no more to return to all our studies, exams and fun. Sometimes we failed to follow the golden rule, But still, we leave our thanks for putting up with us in school. We, the class of '55, now leave, Still hoping and wanting to believe that all our friends Will graduate someday and say that school will always pay. Because, now as we graduate, we know this is true, And we leave all our hopes to the school and to you. Donnie Tysinger Class Poet
