« f-% THE 1972 YELLOW JACKET PRESENTS THOSE WERE THE DAYS In Memoriam Mrs. Madge Ballard She put her hand into our heart and overlooking all the mean and petty things she must have noticed there, she went straight to the good and true values we scarcely knew we possessed. We loved her for what we were when we were with her. When no one eise had time for our cares - she made time - at what sacrifice to herself we shall never know. She was strong as only the good are strong. Strong enough to take on a goodly por- tion of our troubles - strong enough to refuse to take refuge in complaints or excuses or temper. She was courageous - courage which stemmed from her strong belief in God and the ultimate goodness of her fellowman. She was not afraid of life’s responsibilities - in- deed she welcomed them as a labor of love - for she cared so much. She was loving in the best sense of the word. Never possessive - never critical - always accepting us as we were - always stressing the person we could be. She left her world a much richer place. We can never replace her in our lives. We can only live our lives as she saw us . . .
