Track 11,12. Glee Club 11. Superlative. CLASS WILL We the Class of 1965 are well a vare that within a few days we shall pass into the great Beyond. We know that our places will be taken by the members of the Junior Class. The day for our de- parture has been set and there is nothing that we can do to change it. Being of sound mind and re- signed to our fate of passing into oblivion, we hereby present our last wishes. To our close friends and rivals, the Junior Class, we pass on our position of school leadership and honor. We hope that they will remember that with leadership there also goes responsibility. As we give them our most prized possessions we charge them to be worthy of this inheritance, cherish it and increase it as a most valuable possession. To the Sophomore Class we bequeath a possession that they need greatly . . . KNOWLEDGE. The Class of 1965 still possesses a small amount of stupidity, which we now give to the Fresh- men. Our gift, when added to the large amount they already have, will give them complete control of this commodity in our school and in our community. To our dear old school building itself, we leave the peaceful quiet caused by our absence and any apple cores, wads of gum, or crumpled notes we may have left about. To our principal we give and bequeath a sense of relief that we have at last been graduated and a feeling of pride in any great deeds or noteworthy achievements that our future may contain, real- izing that such glories, if any. will owe much to his example and counsel. To our teachers, the faculty of the Davis High School, we hereby give, free from all inheritance, luxury, or income tax, our entire store of knowledge. From them it came and to them it should be returned, that others may be benefited by it as we have been. To the Junior Class we also give, reluctantly but of necessity, our mantle of dignity. We realize that the class can never fill it but, since it is expected of them, our advice is. Grin and wear it. I, Jimmy Adkins, leave my very good looks to Dale Hartline. We, Willadean Adkins, Peggy Spenser, and Glenda Atchley, do hereby will our matrimonial success to Arlene Stevens and Wanda Barton. I, Ronald Avans, leave my ability to play the great lover to Larry Crane. I, Leonard Baker, leave my flirting ability to John Gass. I, Doyle Bodenhamer, leave my ability to skip classes without being caught to Douglas Slater. I, Sue Bolton, leave my 12 years of perfect attendance to Charlotte Smith. I, Eddie Brown, leave my ability to get along with teachers to Bea Anderton. I, Laquanda Cloud,, leave my personality to Polly Davis. 15 CLASS WILL I. I, David Lawson, leave my record as one of the first to plunge through the icy waters in the spring to Jimmy Godwin. I, Terry Leverette, leave my cartooning ability to Alfred Downer. We, Judy Crisp, and Nancy Moore, leave our favorite seats in the office to Linda Davis and Jane Freeman. I, Keith Robinson, leave my ability to talk my way out of trouble to Woodrow Smith.
