CLASS PROPHECY Time: 1972 Place: White House, Department of Defense Person: Secretaries of Defense, Cleta Stephens and Winola Sargent As we sat in our office one dreary day, we felt a sudden urge to renew some friendships of old classmates. In order to get a leave of absence, we applied to the President of the United States, Garland Gass. We made our first stop in Hollywood, where blanche McCallie, hair stylist, did a beautiful job of styling our hair. We next visited dear old Davis High to get a list of our class and their addresses. James Gass was principal, with Rebecca Haggard as secretary. Vie got the list and were on our way. Our first stop was Arkansas to visit Reba and Leo Dobbins. They are married and raising a fine set of twins. If you are ever in trouble, look up barbara Gross. She is now practicing law in Chicago. Mae Crocker has established an Old Maids Club in Reno, but she often throws a party for bachelors only. Johnnie Carroll has received her long awaited degree; M.R.S. She does not have to work because her great aunt left her a fortune. Quinton Culpepper is now a butler in Virginia. As we crossed the Pacific Ocean on an ocean liner, we met Joyce Albertson, who works as a social director. We were surprised at the occupations of some of the 1962 graduating class. We visited Shirley Goduin in a hospital in Zonguldak, Turkey. She’s now a lion-tamer for a circus touring the Euro- pean countries. Those rowdy lions. Jerry Moore is a private detective in Africa. In London, Lloyd Griffin and burma Shelton won the title Most Talkative Man and Woman.” Wanda Holland. Broadway actress, is vacationing in Paris with her secretary and companion, Diann Robinson. We also met Linda Rochester in Paris. She designs clothes, which Glenda Bryan and brenda Avans model for a very exotic fashion show. Franklin Donaldson is still trying to make people laugh. He's a clown for a circus. Clifford Lau son works on a rice farm in China. Verdell Mcbryar now owns and operates the Stork Club in Sweden. We were astonished when we met Granville Prince in Scotland in his colorful kilts playing his bagpipes. As we were tuning in a radio station in Poland, we heard a familiar voice, lo and behold, Doris Prince is a disc jockey at W'.C.R.X. in Poland. We met Linda Morgan at the Hawaiian Hotel. She is now a champion swimmer. Verna Douner. airline stewardess, made our trip back to the U.S. a very pleasant one. Prophetess — CLETA STEPHENS, WINOLA SARGENT
