D. Crisp, d. H. Davis, lee cloud and one or two MORE MEN. BECAUSE OF THE GREAT INTEREST AND LEADING PART PLAYED BY MR. DAVIS, PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY DECIDED TO NAME THE SCHOOL AFTER HIM. CARPENTERS WERE STILL WORKING WHEN THE SCHOOL OPENED ITS DOORS IN 1936, THERE WERE ONLY TWO ROOMS COMPLETED, BUT IT WAS NOT LONG UNTIL THE OTHER TWO WERE FINISHED AND A THIRD TEACHER WAS ADDED. DAVIS WAS ABLE TO COORDINATE THE WORK OF VARI- OUS ONES WHO WERE PERHAPS JUST AS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SUCCESS OF GETTING THE SCHOOL STARTED. NO DOUBT MR. J. D. CRISP WAS ONE OF THE BEST IN HELP- ING MR. DAVIS COMPLETE THE WORK ON THE SCHOOL.
