Don Johnson Future Farmers Of America is the national or- ganization of boys studing vocational agriculture in rural communities. The development of com- petent, agressive rural and agriculture leadership is the first purpose of the Future Farmers of America. Future Farmers learn to do by doing. Experi- ences gained in such training place them for their future in farming. Also, other things gained such as: learn through actual participation how to con- duct and take part in public meetings, to speak in public, market farm products, to solve their own problems, to finance themselves, to use im- proved farming methods, and to assume civic re- sponsibility. The Future Farmers of America is a non-profit, non-political farm boy organization in the United States ofAmerica which reaches from the state of Maine to Hawaii, and from the state of Washington to Puerto Rico. The Davis F.F.A. was organized in T947, under Mr. Warren Hanni, along with the installation of the vocational agricultural depart- ment in the Davis School. Since then over 320 boys have received agricultural training, and also, have completed over 650 agriculture projects and have a labor income of over S33,000. F.H.A.
