3 Q Water polo is Long practice hours and dedication helped the varsity water polo team improve throughout the season. Laps, shot drills, passing techniques, and scrimmages prepared each player for what was ahead of him in a tough game. They were able to capture the third place spot in the CCC with a 5-5 record. CFRONT ROWD Eric McGrath, Ramsin Warda, Paul Norquist, QSECOND ROWJ Eric Kretschmer, Eric Corgiat, Robert Lynch, Iim Sprott, Paul Nelson, KTHIRD ROW? Ierrad Burford, Matt Hansen, Eric Sharar, Eric Corgiat dares his opponent to attack. After a turn over Matt Hansen swims to the other end of the pool in hopes of scoring. determined Nelson, who always kept them in the games, also from Eric Sharar, who was leading scorer, and from Iim Sprott, who worked hard to supply his teammates with the ball. The rest ofthe team also added much to the overall play. The boys' toughest games were against Turlock and Merced. Both these teams had better swimming ability and slightly more experience, according to coach Brent Bohlender. Overall, the varsity team had a much improved season over last year. Bohlender said he was extremely pleased with the team's determination to better themselves. - Iennifer Warden
