Ever since she has been taking drawing classes at Davis along with teaching herself the basics of all types of media within the visual arts. Christine has won various awards. In the Central California Art League show for young masters, she won second place in the crafts category with a silkscreen. She also won Best of Show for her work in the Davis Annual Art Show. One of Christine's greatest challenges was drawing a mural next to the art class rooms at the request of art teacher Brian Beard. Christine accepted the challenging assignment and broke a tradition along the way. She was asked to make the topic of the murala Spartan,but instead of the traditional mascot she designed a modern interpretation. Christine explained, I think that all art ought to represent a concept or evoke some sort of emotion.
