Stats make 2 difference Sitting on the bench or walking along the sidelines are a coach's major source of help. They are the statisticians at every major sporting event. These dedicated individuals freely give their time, aiding coaches at every practice and game. They make it possible for coaches and athletes to recognize the achievements of each individual player. Yet often statisticians are overlooked or ignored. I not only enjoyed helping out the team by keeping score, but I also enjoyed watching the progress of each person and cheering them on, stated jennifer Warden, water polo stats person, Through the excitement of winning and disappointment of losing, statisticians remain a part of the team.
