M., .. FI-IA-HERO CLUB not only developed interests in home economics, but it also provided opportunities for decision making and assuming responsibility, stated advisor Linda Brayton. Future l-lomemakers of America - Home Economics Related Occupations held an annual state leadership conference in April which members attended. LOS LATINOS, founded by Latin-American students, helped promote ethnic pride, unity, and understanding. Through this club students participated in the community and began building for a brighter future.

NEW WAVE began with a boom. The motherlson team of advisor and president seemed to work extremely well. Shane Harmon and his mother, Lynn Darpinian, conduct an important meeting telling members and parents of their many spirited events. Activities included a tail-gate party, a barn dance, Christmas caroling, and arousing spirit at the games. SCIENCE CLUB activies included a slide show on Halley's Comet presented by MIC instructor William Luebke and a field trip to the coast to see the elephant seals. Art by Doug lust. Ski Club members listen-at meeting. Skiers find Heavenl With the onset of winter and snow, Ski Club had a large turnout. Skiers of all levels joined the group and enjoyed a season of great skiing. The club took trips to Kirkwood and Bear Valley with adventurous skiers going on an over-nighter to Heavenly Valley. To help pay for their skiing excursions, members sold candy.
