MQ DAVIS, October 25 - The Folsom Bulldogs were chewed up by the Davis Blue Devils enroute to the league championship by a Fnal score of 32 13 The first half hi hhghted by the halt of Folsom on the Davis three yard line was t e scene of a TD run by Ted Jones and a scoring aerial from Stromgren to Qumn In the second half Folsom went 35 yards for a TD and missed the con version but scored the other pomts on a pass play Stromgren was in ured in the third quarter necessitating the use of a single wlng 0 ense by which Martinez gamered three TDs DAVIS November 7 ay Strom en led the Davis eleven to a 66 7 slaughter of the Lmco Zebras y scoring three TD s of 57 53 and 70 yards and passing to Lucas and Painter for two more Tom Martinez racked up 17 mts with the help of Lincoln fumbles recovered by Enge an Penner ones Lucas and Wag non also scored the latter on a 65 yard lckoff retum The lone Lincoln tally came yust before the final n on a one yard lunge and similar conversion It was rumored t at the 66 points scored by the first MVL champions was the highest of that particular weekend DAVIS, October 17 - Vacaville High School's eleven fell to the turf as the underrated Davis Blue Devils racked up a 34-I4 score.
