DEAN DR. S. BENTON TALBOT Dr. Talbot is a native of West Virginia. After graduating from Elkins High School he attended Davis and Elkin s College where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He received his M.A. degree from the University of Chicago in 1928 and his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins in 1933. In April, 1943, Dr. Talbot became Dean of the Faculty of Davis and Elkins College. During the war years he was the Academic Civilian Co-ordinator of the oot Ane GD ite Dr. ‘Talbot is an Elder in the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church. He is a member of the Society of Sigma Xi, Honorary Scientific Fraternity and the Gamma Alpha Fraternity, the Phi Rho Sigma Fraternity and the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He is a member of the American Microscopical Society, the American Association for Advancement of Science, the West Virginia Academy of Science, the American Association of College Deans, and the National Education Asso- ciation, Senatus 10
