F DAVIS on station... CARRIER The DAVIS was on station in the South China Sea for forty two consecutive days during our first at sea period in the Seventh Fleet. Our duties consisted mainly of Plane Guarding the carriers TICONDEROGA and HANCOCK' as they conducted their idaily air strikes on North Viet Nam and Viet Cong positions in South Viet Nam.
