VA LEDICTORIA N JOE MELVIN Todd Pettit is the son of C.D. Linda Pettit of 307 W. Poplar, Bloomfield. He has one sister, Molly. He has a G.P.A. of 3.83 and will be attending the University of Iowa and majoring in Finance. He is also considering going on to law school at Iowa. Todd has had a very busy schedule taking Advanced Math, Trigonometry, Accounting, and College Prep II. Todd has also won some special awards and honors during high school. They include: State of Iowa Scholar, South Central Conference Academic All-Conference, and Honorable Mention All-Conference Basketball. Todd is involved with basketball, golf, and mock trial after school. Todd plans to get a job in the finance or law field after graduating from college. 16 Joe Melvin is the son of Linda and Phil Melvin of 1002 Hillcrest Ave., Bloomfield. He has two sisters, Tammy and Theresa, and a brothei Robert. He plans to go to Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, and get his degree in electrical engineering. Joe has been very busy during high school with Model U.N., National Honor Society, Mock Trial, piano, band, Quiz Bowl and CYF. He has taken many classes to prepare himself for college, such as: Pre-calculus, Physics, Chemistry II, College Prep II, and Trigonometry. Joe has won some special awards and honors during high school. They have been PSAT Commendable Scholar, State of Iowa Scholar, and Four “I” ratings at state piano and solo contest. His advice for those planning on going to college is, “Don’t let classmates dictate your actions.
